Panama Roses as well as pineapples make up among the most loved flowers and fruits in the world. What are they that they share in the same? Both are cultivated on plants! Panama Roses were named for Panama, the nation of Panama which is where they first came to be discovered.

They are distinctive because they bloom in huge clusters and last for approximately one week. The pineapple is another fruit appreciated by all kinds of people around the world.

It is a showy, bright yellow-orange flower that can grow as high as 12 feet tall. It is known as the Panama Rose. Panama Rose was designated as the flower of national significance in Panama in 1937.

Fruit of Panama Rose Panama Rose is a small dark blue berry that is poisonous to humans but consumed by birds. The fruit is used to make wine and jelly.

The combination of fruits and flowers is what makes this Panama Rose so special. It’s a great illustration of how nature can provide beauty and nourishment at the same time.
